OK, little experimental for me for this first time too....

So there is an image below, but how did it get there??? To be honest the method seems a little 'the wrong way round' at times but here goes....

Before starting, please resize your images to 72 dpi and around a maximum of 800KB. If the dimensions are too large then it will appear as a link to download and not display the actual image. I have yet to finalise the maximum sizes but a width of 1080 pixels was fine.

1. Create your topic and fill in the subject and message as normal.
2. If you have created the post then you can click the 'attach files to this post' box at the bottom.
3. Click post.
4. You will then be asked to browse to your file that you want to upload.
5. Choose the file then click 'upload'.
6. You can now click the 'back' button to see your post with the image.
7. If you do not like how it turned out, or realise you uploaded the wrong file then you can click the 'attach' button in the top right hand corner of you post and either delete the image or add further images.

If you are replying to someone elses post then it is slightly different:

1. Click reply and do your reply as normal then click 'post'.
2. Once you have posted then you will see the 'attach' button at the top of your post.
3. Use this button to add your images.

Please be sure to let me know if you have any problems, indeed, even if you just think my instructions are pants and that I should try harder! Smile

The image below of a red squirrel was taken in the Scottish Borders whilst we lived up there. It is 500 x 332 pixels with a resolution of 72dpi.

One more little niggle crossed off the list, thanks for pointing that one out to us Badger and of course a big welcome to the forum double thumbs up

As a side note, I would personally say that it may well be better to post photos as links, as detailed in the other instructions post as it gives you much more control over where you can put text, align the photos etc. That is of course only possible if you have online photo storage somewhere or want to set one up. Either way both methods are now working Smile
